Gervias Street Bridge Early in the Morning
Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 7:39PM Ok, so when I'm not shooting weddings I still like to have my camera in hand taking beautiful photographs. I have a project that for right now has to stay top secret, but it involves a lot of Columbia Cityscape shots. (Hints the images from the last post and this one). Anyways, I've shot the Gervias Street Bridge in Columbia Several times, but it's always been around sunset. I wanted to see what I could do with it in the early dawn hours. I went do about 7am (sunrise was at 7:45am). This is actually one of the first images I shot that morning. Once the sun actually started coming up things got ugly quick. The sky turned hazy white and nothing had any pop. I shot this with a long exposure to get the water to look glassy and magical. The love the orange light reflecting on the water (it's coming from the street lamps, not the sun) and the deep blue sky. I hope you enjoy it.
